This year we celebrate the 60^th anniversary of Cuong Nhu’s founding in Vietnam. As we approach IATC, I can’t help reflecting on O’Sensei and the martial art he created, my years training under him and his senior instructors, and all the past, present, and future leaders of Cuong Nhu. If he could only be here to see us (he would be 88 years old), he would be proud of his legacy. If only Grandmaster Quynh could be with us to celebrate once again what he sustained and built for so many years. And Master Mary Davis – another beloved leader lost too soon. And Master Hoang Thong Lap, may he rest in peace.
