Traveling to University of North Carolina

We have members travel from all around the world to attend IATC each year. This year, training camp will take place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, so attendees flying in should book flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (airport code: RDU).

THE INFORMATION BELOW IS BASED ON 2024 AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Shuttles from RDU to UNC on Thursday

Shuttle service from Carolina Livery will run continuously from RDU Airport between 2:00 p.m. and  midnight on Thursday. If you come in before or after these times, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation to Granville Towers near the UNC campus.

If you arrive at Terminal 1, you'll find everything is on the same level - arrivals and departures. Exit the terminal, turn left, go to Zone 1, and keep an eye out for the Carolina Livery bus.

If you arrive at Terminal 2, go to baggage claim, exit the terminal, turn right and go to Zone 8. Look for the Carolina Livery bus..

RDU Airport is not very big, so there is little chance of you getting lost. You will easily see the Carolina Livery bus as it arrives. Stay in the general area of your respective zone and you will see others waiting — or if you’re the first, others will arrive soon after. Relax and wait. The bus will run as often as it can from 2pm to midnight and will probably get delayed and run slower when rush hour begins. If you call us to see what’s going on, we'll probably just tell you “wait and it will come.” If you don’t want to wait and decide to take a taxi from the airport, it will cost you* (*based on 2023) $40 – $45 dollars. An Uber can run from about $25 (UberX) to $50 (Select), and prices may vary.

Shuttles from UNC to RDU on Monday

A shuttle bus will run from Granville Towers to RDU Airport starting at 4AM on Monday and ending at noon. Once at IATC, you'll need to find our shuttle representative (TBD)and give them a general idea of what time you need to get to the airport on Monday.

Travel by Car

For those travelling to IATC by car, parking will be provided in the Granville Towers parking lot. Please respect the rules of the road and drive safely.
